While I was at our annual sales conference last year, I managed to get a few minutes on Steve Ballmer's calendar. As you probably know, Steve is Microsoft's CEO and one of the most passionate, energizing, and motivating people in the company. Although he was hoarse from speaking during numerous sessions, he still managed to crack a few jokes and have a little fun with the interview.
In this prodcast, Steve discusses what it takes to make a business "People Ready". He also highlights some of the great capabilities that Microsoft is enabling through Windows Vista and Office 2007. Finally, I asked Steve what it's going to be like at Microsoft without Bill Gates, who recently announced he's leaving Microsoft in July 2008 to pursue his foundation and charity work full time. As you can imagine, Steve is very bullish on the future of Microsoft and his passion is contagious!
